About Odin Press

Odin Press is an independent publisher and book-production studio. We write, edit, compose, and design books — and let the world print them: every title is produced on demand through Amazon (and, in time, IngramSpark), so nothing is warehoused, nothing is remaindered, and nothing goes out of print. We keep in-house the part that carries the value — the thinking, the typesetting, the figures, the cover — and outsource the part that doesn't: the paper and the postage.

Every book we publish is built to one standard, whatever its subject: substance first, honestly argued, carefully made, and priced to be owned rather than admired from a shelf.

What we publish

Our catalogue deliberately spans two very different kinds of reader. On the technical side we publish rigorous, code-backed practitioner books — applied Monte Carlo for the working statistician, actuary, and trader; verified deep-learning solvers for partial differential equations; differentiable programming for inverse problems; and monographs in applied probability and numerical analysis. Every method is earned by an experiment or a proof, and every figure is reproducible from source.

On the prose side we publish serious general non-fiction for the examined life — books about money and thrift, time and work, health and the body, decision and regret, and the shape of a life after a layoff or a diagnosis — alongside the occasional standalone literary work. Different shelves, one sensibility: clear, unhurried, and unwilling to waste a reader's attention.

The studio

Odin Press is also a working studio for other authors and imprints. We take on publication-grade typesetting and composition in LaTeX and Typst — mathematics, code, and figures included — along with developmental and copy editing, series-consistent cover design, and consultation on print-on-demand strategy, ISBN and metadata, and bringing a title to market. Selected Odin properties are also available for licensing and acquisition. A fuller description lives on the Services page.
